During the last two decades it has been practically impossible to lay your hands on Le Coq Sportif’s classic runners from the eighties. This year the famous rooster has decided to celebrate their thirty glorious years of history and resurrect their Eclat model. For its time, the Eclat was a high performance runner with the latest technology which included the ‘easy-lace’ system, or in other words, the oversize plastic D-rings in place of lace holes. With its rakish profile and tasty nylon style, the Eclat has achieved a certain level of timelessness that saw it reportedly become a favorite of the French underground graff scene. The good news is that Le Coq is re-issuing this nylon beauty in two colours specially for the ladies! Le Coq afficionados will also appreciate the fact that the shoes are packaged in the original style box with its pierced air holes that allow this little technical gem to breathe!

Available locally at Laced (Brisbane), Fat (Melbourne), and Footage (Sydney).

This new collab between Le Coq Sportif and the world’s favorite candy should be right up every sweet-tooth’s Hershey highway! The shoe itself is the classy Eclat running model from 1982, and here it’s been heavily massaged with melted chocolate midsoles, matching tongue tags and a sole made from mashed-up M&Ms. This banana-colored bad boy looks good enough to eat! A reported 500 pairs will be made and come packaged in a specially designed shoe container (with only 48 pairs dropping down under). So get yourself some brown love from the milk bar and make sure you burn off those extra calories!
Release date June 15th.
