That is black. The collaboration of Japan’s Urban Research iD and New Balance will give the market a rare black retro running shoe. Other features include subtle mint green color to accentuate the black tone of the sneakers in oiled suede.

The soon-to-be released shoes will be able to fit the work world without much difficulty because it will give the same sneaker comfort while maintaining a good shoe quality and sneaker comfort. Available now in limited sizes as pre-order in Urban Research, the expected release would be in the month of May.

We seldom see any new Balance such as the model 996 which is due for Spring 2010. As a classic running icon, New Balance unleashed it again from its vault while applying new treatment as shown by the gradient effect on the upper, the first thing everyone would notice upon seeing it.

This release made it to lucky two where in only two colorways were produced and no other else. The first pair is done up in a Purple-White-Silver gradient while the second pair has a toebox of White that turns Green in the midsection to a Black heel.

This particular sneaker possesses a simple running shoe attribute such as the heavily-perforated toebox and a durable ENCAP sole. New Balance creates another model with a paradise concept as it calls it the “Tropical Cocktail” Pack. True, this resembles a paradise ambience in its two color schemes, both blessed with Grey suede base and Grey mesh toe and inner liner.

The first pair is characterized by a fresh and cool look with the Lime Green nylon that covers the midsection collecting an accent of Orange that was utilized by the shoe laces. The heel depicts a gradient effect with an Orange leather heel tab that fades to Lime Green.

On the other hand, the second pair has been crafted with an Electric Blue and Black accents with a hint of Fuchsia that was used on the laces and New Balance branding. The Tropical Cocktail Pack has another interesting attribute – the insoles being imprinted with tropical trees silhouette. New Balance Court Pack Fall and Winter Collection of 2010 which is composed of the Pro Court and High Court.
